This is a full-time Evaluation and Research Coordinator for the Northern Arizona Area Health Education Center (NAHEC) and North Country HealthCare. The Evaluation and Research Coordinator leads the data collection and evaluation activities for NAHEC and serves as the data liaison to the Arizona AHEC Program. In addition, the Evaluation and Research Coordinator, in consultation with leadership, facilitates research, quality improvement, and evaluation projects for North Country HealthCare. This includes establishing appropriate protection of research subjects; providing support for researchers, residents and students; and planning strategically for research projects that serve rural and underserved communities and support the NCHC mission.


  1. Consult with faculty researchers, staff, residents, and students at NCHC and in partner institutions on the design of research projects and the preparation of clinical and community-based research proposals.
  2. Participate in the NCHC Research Committee and coordinate research project review processes, including institutional review by the Governing Board and other entities.
  3. Serve as the NAHEC data liaison for the Arizona AHEC Program and be the primary person responsible for entry of service data into applicable software programs.
  4. Design program data and evaluation surveys and coordinate data collection for youth career preparation, health professions training, and continuing education programs.
  5. Direct data collection and analysis for research projects. Utilize various software platforms for program monitoring, data collection, and analysis.
  6. Develop applicable policies and procedures and implement process improvement efforts.
  7. Develop and implement processes to ensure effective protection of research subjects.
  8. Develop and implement processes for monitoring outcomes of program graduates longitudinally.
  9. Develop and produce regular data reports, evaluation summaries, research reports, and analyses of program outcomes for internal and grant reporting, and disseminate research results.
  10. Set measurable goals and objectives and fulfill the NAHEC contract scope of work. Monitor and report on progress.
  11. Coordinate and/or participate in collaborative organizational quality improvement and assurance programs and initiatives to transform healthcare practice.
  12. Monitor program/project spending and adhere to program budget, as applicable.
  13. Support, develop, and expand mutually beneficial partnerships with government, tribal, healthcare, academic, private, non-profit, and other institutions, requiring considerable discretion, initiative, motivation, and follow through.
  14. Participate in program sustainability building (i.e. grant writing, fundraising), as applicable.
  15. Communicate effectively through phone, email, and face to face with colleagues, students, healthcare providers, healthcare center personnel, and others.
  16. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all clinic staff, clients, healthcare institutions, academic institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  17. Be a part of a team, cooperate in accomplishing department goals and objectives, and uphold the North Country and NAHEC missions.
  18. Possess a valid AZ driver's license and travel throughout the state and region as necessary.
  19. Regular and predictable attendance.
  20. Continuous learning in both personal and professional development.
  21. Consistent review, comprehension and reply of company email and related correspondence.
  1. Four year college degree.
  2. Two years related experience.
  3. SPSS or other research-related software experience preferred.
  4. Demonstrated cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
  5. Effectively manages time, and is comfortable adapting to changing circumstances and managing competing priorities.
